Further Assistance for Your Students
As a Curtin University staff member, you may be wondering what support exists for student career development. As a starting point reviewing the student pages on this site will provide an overview of our general services.In-class career sessions
Most staff who have worked with us have done so through our delivery of in-class career sessions. We collaborate with academic staff to provide customised career-related information to students within their academic programs. These workshops are more appropriate to the career development needs of students and ensure that all students are aware of the range of services provided by The Careers Centre.
The presentations range from 15 mins at the beginning or end of a lecture to a series of 1-3 hour workshops with associated activities and assessment tasks. These practical workshops are ideally arranged as part of the academic program. If this is not possible, they can also be offered outside class time.
You can start by talking to your Faculty Career Development Officer
We would be also be very happy to hear from you at any time with requests for assistance or your ideas of how we can assist or value add to your course.
