Employ a Student
The Careers Centre can assist you to employ a student for any casual work opportunities in your department/school/faculty. For instance, you might need assistance with a research project, general office administration and/or reception duties, publicising an event or working on your Open Day display. Jobs and Events Connect enables you to access a highly capable and flexible workforce right on your doorstep.
Option 1: Advertise on Jobs and Events Connect
Instructions on how to submit a vacancy with Jobs and Events Connect:
Go to the Jobs and Events Connect employer log on page and click on register as a new employer. (If you are already registered just enter your username and password)
Fill in your Faculty / Department name and contact details (The University's ABN is 84 002 705 224)
Fill in the online form with the details of the job vacancy.
The advertisement will be posted on Jobs and Events Connect for students to view.
Students can then apply for the job directly to yourself, either via email, phone, mail, in person.
Option 2: Screening service
The Curtin Careers Centre advertises your employment offer to students via Jobs and Events Connect.
Contact the Careers Centre and outline the details of your job and its selection criteria (provide a position description)
The Careers Centre will be named in the job advertisement as the contact point for applications.
We will short list the best 5 or 6 applicants, and pass on their applications to you. A fee applies to the screening of applicants, see below.
The Careers Centre will be responsible for advising those who are not short listed the outcome of their application.
The School/Faculty will be responsible for advising those who are short listed and / or interviewed the outcome of their application.

0-10 applications received No charge
11-70 applications received $110 (inc GST)
71+ applications received $165 (inc GST)
